In the last issue of Oliver Heritage we told you about the Cletrac A, B and D series as well as the Oliver-Cletrac merger. In this issue, we will cover the following Cletrac models: Cletrac's largest model - the F series; the MG-1, aka Bomber Nurse; Oliver-Cletrac's most popular crawler - the HG and Cletrac's final attempt at building a wheel tractor - the General GG.

Prior to the 1950's most plows were pull-type. An exception would have been the 62 QD which was clamped onto the axle and pipe and lifted by way of the mechanical lift. The next “mounted” model (pictured on page 7) was the 1171, 1172 and 2172, which were designed for the 66, 77 and 88. It wasn't until 1952 that Oliver introduced a 3-point hitch.

While Oliver is notorious for their agricultural line of equipment, the company had also been in the industrial tractor business since the 1930's.
